The Martial Arts Essence Mission (TMAEM) is a worldwide gathering of true Martial artists who live the Martial way and know the essence of the Martial arts. It is comprised of Martial artists holding various ranks from many styles around the world. These loyal members have taken a steadfast stand and vow to put an end to the stigma Martial sports has created through the false marketing as Martial arts and will support the mission in anyway they can. TMAEM also has businesses and organizations that are non-Martial arts related, but who support our mission to spread the truth and share our vision of a more peaceful society.

Current / Special Mission objective:

To keep the ban on MMA sport (cage fighting) in New York State. The sport has been banned for 13 years in New York. However, with the recent change of Governor and the UFC/MMA promoters promising - $REVENUE$ - to the state, the NEW Governor, David A. Paterson, has bit the carrot and is pushing to have his new proposed bills passed. He does this without listening to the those who are opposed to it, or considering the negative implications it would have on the people of NY and ultimately the nation.

UFC - Ultimate Fighting Championships (MMA sports) - true owners are Las Vegas Casino owners - Mafia Family brothers - Lorenzo & Frank Fertitta III. They own 90% of Zuffa, LLC which includes the UFC.

UFC - Pays lobbyists $10,000.00 (each) a month to lobby to legislation in NY state to promote MMA fighting.

March 17, 2008 - David A Paterson is sworn into office as the 55th Governor of New York State.

July 24, 2008 - Governor David A Paterson fired NY State Athletic Commission Chairman - Ron Scott Stevens. Stevens was quoted "I had no idea this would happen, they just said that they wanted to make a change."
Note: (Ron Scott Stevens was not for MMA sports and did not want it in NY State)

July 25, 2008 - Governor David A Paterson appointed Melvina Lathan to NY State Athletic Commission as Chairwoman, replacing Ron Scott Stevens.
Note: (Melvina Lathan is an oldtime, good friend of Ultimate Fighting (UFC/MMA) Mark Ratner - UFC's Vice President of Government & Regulatory affairs. She is also very for MMA fighting and states how it has a bad rap and she wants to promote it in NY State.

January 2010 - Governor David A Paterson underhandedly slips a bill for the legalization of MMA sports in NY State into his budget proposal. This budget proposal is voted either "yes" or "no". Individual aspects of the proposal are NOT voted on. He does this, knowing the controversy of legalizing the sport in NY and knowing of the 13 year ban on the sport in NY state.

Note: The Governor's office has also ignored the Marist poll (a poll of registered voters in NY state 68% say "NO" to MMA sports in NY) and also a challenge to a public debate to discuss all the negative character traits and the deceptiveness of the promoters.

Perspective: This very much appears to be a fascist movement of MMA sports. Unfortunately, Gov. David A Paterson has since proven his unethical ways to the public. This dismissal of an official for no reason. Then placing a good friend of a high official in the UFC in his position is misuse of office (the next day!) My personal opinion is for the FBI to review his bank account for the past 3 years to see if any significant revenue from the UFC has been funded into his account. Favors were done and I am sure the Governor received something in return for his unethical doings.

March 2010 - Despite the numerous scandles Governor Paterson has been involved in, and the fact that he states he WILL NOT be running for re-election, he continues, steadfastly, to attempt to remove the ban on MMA sports in NY state. He does so underhandedly by abusing the power of his office - he refuses to have any opposition. He continues to ignore what the people of NY state say about MMA/UFC sports and continues to ignore a challenge to a public debate from a 35 year veteran of true Martial arts. If the Governor had a debate with a Martial sports instructor, it would only lead to further promotion of the blood sport and continued false facts. It would be deceptive and false opposition.

NOTE and opinion: the very first thing the next NY state Governor needs to do is remove Melvina Lathan from the NY State Athletic Commission as Chairwoman. She was given the position unjustly and a good man was fired for absolutely no reason other then to have someone who has connections to the UFC. Governor Paterson needs to be removed from his office before the end of his term. He has shown nothing but dishonestly and unethical/fascist acts to the public. He does this while smiling and saying "I am for the people of NY state".

Over the last 3 years I have witnessed and also personally experienced the following Media avenues to be VERY fascist in actions. CBS news, ABC news and the New York Times have ALL refused to post anything opposing to MMA sports. This is my own personal experience as well with letters to each News media to find out why. They simply have a sports moderator who likes MMA sports delete all opposing comments. Is this truly free speach and proper of the media? It's selective media and a fascist movement. Propaganda of MMA shining false facts about the sport and when someone attempts to explain anything opposing, they are simply deleted. Any small articles regarding opposition is sugar coated and refocused to make it non-opposing, by having a MMA sports instructor say a false fact about the sport. There is NO true opposition with these news medias, only fake opposition so they can say "yes, we do anti-MMA articles". Can they explain why MMA fans using profanity and ill-logic have posts remaining, but why veteran Martial arts instructors against MMA with proper conduct and views are deleted with emails ignored?

Can one truly TRUST what these News media are telling us in all world News if they are feeding us one sided stories?

Are you a Martial artist that truly understands the Martial arts and the proper balance that must be maintained?

Are you a Martial artist that understands fully the positive traits acquired through the Martial arts and the negative traits developed through Martial sports?

Are you a Martial artist that has the courage to stand up for the Martial arts, humanity and against injustice?

Individuals - Must not be involved in MMA sports in anyway or form, including any membership on any internet Martial sport sites.
(such as Bullshido, Martial Talk, Cagewarriors or any of the other numerous MMA / TKD sport websites)

- Must NOT do any type of Martial sports such as: Brazilian Jujutsu, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Judo, Boxing, Greco or regular wrestling.

- Must not compete in tournaments or cage fighting. Also sparring in the school in which a winner or loser is declared.

- Must show loyalty to ‘The Martial Arts Essence Mission” and email how you will vow this loyalty.
(In your own words. This allows mission management to understand each individual on a more personal level.)

NOTE: any emails with attachments, images or pictures WILL be automatically deleted. Also any harassing, threatening or violent emails from Martial sports practitioners or fans will be printed and deleted.

There is no fee for membership and never will be.

(Major CC donations can be made via phone as well or checks by mail).

Funding is needed, but will never be promoted. This is NOT a 'for profit' mission. In addition, the opposition can/will easily be untruthful in stating this is only to make money to take the focus off the real issues. Therefore, your vow of loyalty to the Martial arts and this mission is all we truly desire.

You will NEVER be asked for a donation and do not have to ever donate. One’s dedication and loyalty are worth more then any amount of funding for the mission. The Mission objectives are to be discussed and special or current objectives will always be listed.

Remember, most important is your loyalty and what you can personally bring to the mission. What is your expertise? What is your regular profession in life or something that you may be knowledgeable in? Are you a Priest? Lawyer? Web-site designer? Marketing/research specialist? Management? Any profession at all can assist with the Mission.
